Abstract:
The tight correlations between the masses of supermassive black holes (BHs) and the properties of their host galaxies suggest that BHs coevolve with galaxies. However, the link between BH mass and the properties of the host galaxies of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) in the nearby Universe remain elusive. In this talk, I will present our recent progress on the position of AGNs on the BH mass − galaxy stellar mass plane, its connection with the properties of star formation and BH accretion, and its implications on AGN feedback. Moreover, I will introduce our recent works on host properties of X-ray selected AGNs at cosmic noon using JWST NIRCam imaging data.
