First Chinese Pulsar Timing Array Meeting Held at KIAA

On May 30-31, 2017, the first Chinese Pulsar Timing Array meeting has been held at KIAA.  The pulsar timing array (PTA) is a method to detect  nano Hertz gravitational waves.  At present, there are basically three PTA collaborations in the world, including the European Pulsar Timing Array (EPTA), the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves (NANOGrav), and the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array (PPTA).

Over 50 participants joint the two-day conference, while 20 of them presented recent research progress.  The topics of the driver science, technology development, and recent results of PTA are covered.
